14th Founder’s Day Commemoration

Again came the most anticipated day, when the whole school reverberated with the mellifluous euphony, echoed with the jubilant uproar of the children, glimmered with luminescence, witnessed the animated hustle and bustle of the mortal beings and got embellished with the artistic strokes on the mute walls –it was none other than the commemoration of 14th Founder’s Day at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School on December 8, 2018.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the former Bollywood actress Ms. Pooja Bedi – the Chief Guest of the Day, Ms. Suniti Devi Jaipuria, lovingly addressed as ‘Ammaji’– the eldest member of the Jaipuria Education society, Shri Shishir Jaipuria ji, , Chairman of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Group, Ms. Sunita Jaipuria ,Vice Chairman of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Group, Mr. YashJaipuria, Executive Officer, Ginni Filaments, Ms. Manju Rana, Principal cum Director Seth Anandram Jaipuria School. Members of the management Committee and other dignitaries.

The gala occasion commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Principal ma’am and the members of management committee. Shri Shishir Jaipuria ji, gave a cordial welcome to the Chief Guest and congratulated all the participants and the teachers for always putting their best foot forward for the success of the such mega events. Sir took pride in delineating the efforts made by the school in providing education to the students in line with the enhancing technology. He said that the school aimed at creating global citizens equipped with knowledge and skills to contribute to the solutions of global issues. Ms. Manju Rana, Principal cum Director also extended her greetings to Ms. Pooja Bediwith utmost geniality. She presented the school repertoire and underscored the accomplishments of the school in all the spheres- academics, co-curricular activities, sports, environment and technology in the year 2017-18. .She expounded the importance of such events in building up of a strong foundation of the students to face the life ahead with confidence and poise.

The Chief Guest Ms. Pooja Bedi, commended the assiduous efforts of the students in putting up the fabulous exhibition ‘The Epoch’ and congratulated the participants for instilling vigour into the performances and giving a mid as touch to all the roles they played on the stage.She exhorted the parents and the teachers to inculcate the passion of learning among the students and to never let their curiosity die rather than just cramming their minds with information. She emphasized on the learning of skills required in day-to-day life and wanted the parents to realize their share of responsibility in nurturing the children by being the role models for them.  Being a philanthropist herself, she urged the students to fulfil their responsibilities towards community, nation and humanity at large, which according to her is the true aim of education.

Acknowledgement of diligence and positive reinforcement go a long way in enhancing the zeal of the students. Therefore, at Jaipuria we never miss the opportunity of motivating our students. All the achievers of the session 2017-18 both in academics and co-curricular activities and even the star performers were awarded medals, trophies and certificates. CBSE toppers of session 2017-18, Anoushka Chandra, KshitijAnand, SachitRastogi and the teachers who had completed 10 years of their service in this organization were were also felicitated. Alumni Apoorv was also given a hearty welcome.

The much-awaited cultural event began on enthralling notes with an orchestral pageantry unveiling the beauty of raag Yaman in its most exquisite form. The Dusk symphony – Yamini bewitched the audience and stirred their souls. The piousness strewn in the air by this performance was further given a tinge of piety with Stuti -‘Shri Nidhi’, invoking the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi-the greatest revitalizing force of the universe.

The showstopper of the event was the Dance Drama ‘The Blind Age’. Based on Dharamvir Bharti’s composition this exuberant medley of dance and drama explored the human capacity for moral actions, reconciliation and goodness in troubled times and revealed what happens when individuals succumb to the cruelty and cynicism. Depicting the eighteenth day of the ancient Sanskrit epic, Mahabharata , which devastated the Kauravas, the students sent the chill down the spine of the spectators with their emphatic dialogue delivery. Donned with colorful costumes and attractive make-up,the characters of the dance drama and their scintillating dance performances stole the hearts of the audience and left them spellbound.

The animated event ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the Vice Principal of the School, Ms. Sarojini Sinha.

The audience took the fond memories of this auspicious occasion along with them, which no doubt would linger in their minds and hearts for a long time.
