Indo-Sweden Teacher Exchange Programme 2023 – Day 1
Thoren Business School, Sweden visited Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad for a week long teacher exchange programme.
About the partner school:
- Thorengruppen is one of Sweden’s biggest and most leading companies within the educational field, with 1,800 employees and 15,000 students. Their company offers quality education within several levels: preschool, elementary school, high school, and community college. Thorengruppen has a close cooperation with different actors in business within all our regions and schools.
- Thoren Business School Malmö is a high school offering college-preparatory education, within three different fields of study: economics, social science and natural science. They have approximately 360 students and 30 teachers in their department.
- All their students, regardless of their field of study, attend a course in business management and entrepreneurship. In this course, the students start, run and liquidate a company. In groups, the students devise a business idea, pitch it to investors and execute it. Their school works closely with companies and enterprises in their region, who guest-lecture at their school and coach their students through the process. This creates a clear link with the Swedish trade industry. It is their conviction that this course in business and entrepreneurship prepares their students for their future life and careers by providing them with knowledge about business models and with skills of working independently, cooperating, solving problems, thinking innovatively, communicating and dealing with adversity.
On Day 1, Mr John Senntrom, Mr Max Elden, Ms Daniella Ulusoy and Ms Carmen Anghel were warmly welcomed by the school leadership team, teachers and students.
