Virtual Exchange Programme UK Report
Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad in collaboration with Lea Manor High School, Luton, United Kingdom organizeda virtual exchange program for the students of Grade 8.
To begin with Mr. Andrew from Lea Manor High School and Ms. Shalini Nambiar, Principal cum Director of the school exchanged greetings and encouraged students to interact and inquire to know more about each other’s culture.
The students from both the countries were excited to connect with their friends over this virtual collaboration. Students from LeaManor High School gave presentations on foods and cultures of the UK. They began with the PowerPoint presentation on various delicacies. Delicious and mouthwatering pictures of dishes like Sunday Roast, Steak Kidney Pie, etc. made it interesting for the kids. This was followed by the presentation about “The history of Royal Clothing in the Victorian Era.” They also showed dresses worn by Queen Elizabeth and also explained evolution of dressing among men and women in the UK.
The session was quite interactive as the students from both the schools asked questions about each other’s culture and clothing.
The presentation given by Lea Manor students was much appreciated by the students and the faculty members of the school. It was a wonderful experience for everyone. We have decided to take this association ahead with cuisines on the go, next time!
